BUNGEE JUMPING AS A GUIDE TO CAREER DECISIONS

Mentor: Mike Regan

Mike Regan shares the story of the first time he went bungee jumping, and how lessons from that experience can guide you through the big decisions in your career and life. Mike Regan is the Chief Innovation Officer at Fogarty Innovation, and co-founder of DxD HealthTech.

These fast-paced events include short presentations about career development and personal growth, plus three breakout sessions in which mentees meet one on one with senior industry executives. While speed mentoring events are not designed to start long-term, formal mentoring relationships, the connections made are meaningful and often continue beyond the event. Space is limited, but there is no charge to participate.

Speed Mentoring 2024

Speed mentoring participants are encouraged to use the event as an introduction to the power of mentorship. In addition to motivating the participants to seek mentors, the connections made and ideas shared during the event are thought provoking and actionable.

DxD holds three speed mentoring events each year for early to mid-career women and underrepresented minorities in the health technology industry. We also hold a special speed mentoring event for college students as part of our Summer Innovation and Exploration Series.

“The speed mentoring session was really helpful because I was able to talk to quite a few professors and scientists who gave great advice on next steps after graduating. But almost all of the mentors emphasized that we should not worry about if one decision you make now is going to help you land your dream career. Instead, take advantage of every opportunity you get and live each experience to the fullest.”

—Cherease Lamm, DxD Summer Innovation & Exploration Series

“I honestly feel like I hit the jackpot with the mentors I was paired up with for the 1-on-1 sessions. I took away something different from each conversation.”

—Marissa Borja

“I believe DxD is doing something that shouldn’t be groundbreaking but feels like it might be.”
