Prioritizing What Truly Matters
The future advancement of healthtech solutions with the potential to impact and benefit a global society depends on prioritizing broader representation and ensuring equitable opportunities for all individuals, irrespective of their unique circumstances or experiences. This requires cultivating environments that welcome diverse perspectives, promote collaboration, and ensure fair access to resources and opportunities. By valuing the contributions of all individuals, respecting their distinct identities and experiences, and fostering mutual respect, we can focus on what truly matters—achieving better health outcomes for everyone.
DxD was founded and is supported as a partnership between the Stanford Biodesign and Fogarty Innovation.
Initially focused on addressing disparities related to gender, the initiative has broadened its scope to include groups that have historically faced barriers to equitable representation and access. Research has shown that the quality of care and health outcomes vary significantly across different populations.
