SUMMARY:Pathways in Health Technology: Session 8
DESCRIPTION:Pathways in Health Technology is an eight-session program for community college students who are underrepresented in the field – including men of color and women of any background. Participants will discover the medtech ecosystem through career panels\, technology showcases and an innovation bootcamp featuring Stanford Biodesign experts. Students gain authentic\, hands-on experience working in small groups while developing an understanding of disease state\, market analysis and technology\, culminating with a presentation of their novel ideas. Throughout the experience\, targeted sessions will equip participants with an empowered mindset they can use in any professional setting in the future. \nThe full-day weekend sessions at Fogarty Innovation and Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign. Between meetings\, group assignments will foster collaboration skills and provide touch points. Meetings will be held: \n\nJan. 20 and 21\nFeb. 3 and 17\nMarch 2\, 16 and 30\nApril 13
